While the iPhone 6 wasn't launched at the big Apple even in autumn, by seeing the iPad Air and iPad Mini with Retina Display we'll get a better idea of what Apple's been working on for its iOS devices.

Combined with the information we have from the recently launched iPhone 5s and iOS 7, we should get a better idea of what Apple is planning for its next smartphone, the iPhone 6.

Of everything that we know now, the biggest bit of information is than the iPhone 6 is going to have a larger screen that the iPhone 5S. Although sales of the iPhone are high, the Android competition has all moved to large-screen Full HD models, with the HTC One, Sony Xperia Z and Samsung Galaxy S4, so it makes sense for Apple to compete on screen size.

Nokia entered the tablet segment with the launch of the Lumia 2520 last month. Since then, there have been reports that the Finnish manufacturer may have another tablet in the pipeline, this time an 8-inch one, codenamed the Illusionist. A new report from Digitimes now suggests that the device may be called the Lumia 2020, and that the company could be planning to unveil it as early as the first quarter of 2014.

Asus has been a proven computer manufacturer, being successful in releasing a series of tablets including the first and second generations of Google's famous Nexus 7 line. Recently, the company has released the Transformer Book Trio, which runs both Android and Windows OS. This makes Asus no stranger to producing computers that operate on two operating systems. And it seems the device was just the start of a slew dual OS devices coming from the manufacturer. A recent FCC filing suggests that Asus may be working on a series of tablets and some of them will have dual booting capabilities.

Tablets with 64-bit versions of the Android OS and Intel Atom chips code-named Bay Trail will become available next year, Intel said on Thursday.

Intel is developing a 64-bit version of the Android OS to work with Bay Trail chips, said Brian Krzanich, CEO of Intel, during an investor meeting in Santa Clara, California, which was webcast.

The 64-bit Android tablets will be released after Bay Trail tablets with a 64-bit version of Microsoft’s Windows 8.1 are released in the first quarter next year, Krzanich said. Intel has said Android tablets with Bay Trail could be available starting at $150. The Bay Trail chips already support 64-bit addressing.
